CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Chartered Building Surveyors
If you are planning a construction project, why go it alone?
We typically recommend projects are executed under a recognised standard form of contract, such as JCT Minor Works Contract (2016 Edition), providing clarity and legal certainty for all parties.
Cavendish Surveying provides expert specification writing, construction contract administration and project oversight for residential and commercial properties across London and the South East.
Our Chartered Building Surveyors manage projects from initial specification through to completion, ensuring that the works are properly defined, competitively tendered and administered in accordance with the contract terms.
Professional contract administration typically reduces risks, controls costs and improves build quality.
All our surveyors are Chartered Building Surveyors with MRICS status which differs from AssocRICS status.

Contract Administration & Stage Payments

A Chartered Building Surveyor as Contract Administrator ensures that payment certification, variations, and programme matters are dealt with strictly in accordance with the contract.
A retention is a proportion of the contract sum withheld to protect the client against defective workmanship. The retained amount is released only once defects identified during the defects liability period have been remedied.
